The K300 has three printing modes - well, normal economic and fast. Our first test printout, the text fills the entire sheet, take a cool 7 seconds in the rapid economic mode, 8 seconds in normal mode and 35 seconds in the fine print. A4 sheets with different font sizes take 5 seconds to print in the economy quickly, whereas it took about 6 seconds to print in a normal and a full 26 seconds to print in either mode.
A batch of 10 pieces taking superfast 32 seconds to print in economy mode, with an average of nearly 3 seconds per page, which is certainly impressive. Of course, normal mode gives us a more complete print with respectable quality and completed in an amazing 41 seconds each - bringing the average to close to 4 seconds per page. Network printing fast too, slotting in at either 13 seconds to print the full text. The scanner took 28 seconds to scan a page with pictures and text.
While this is not the most suitable printer for printing images, we did try a few shots in all three modes. The image gets printed in super fast 8 seconds in fast mode and the economy close to 9 seconds in normal mode, the printout either take 41 seconds. However, only prints in either mode worth mentioning, like the others simply have too many horizontal lines. In an economy that is fast, the ink level can be greatly reduced and the quality went to throw the absolute. At best, this mode should be provided to make the draft and final copy.
